Welcome to the Totara Learn Demo Site! Here we answer a few questions you might have before you get started.

What is the Demo Site and what can I do here?

The Demo Site is a Totara Learn site for anyone who is interested in Totara Learn to have a go. Afterall, there’s no better way to decide if a product is right for you than trying it for yourself! You can log in to the site with a variety of roles, from Site Administrator to Learner, to see how features are different for different types of user.

You have free rein to use any of the features you see; make changes, add content, progress through workflows, start new ones, the choice is yours. You can’t break anything, and all actions will be reset every 24 hours as if you were never here.

Is the Demo Site a fully-functional example of Totara Learn?

Almost. Most of the features of the latest version of Totara Learn can be seen on this site. There are a few exceptions to make sure the site works for everyone. For example, you’ll notice that you can’t change the profile information of the user you login as. That’s to prevent anyone from changing the login details which would prevent other users from accessing the site.

What happens to the changes I make on the site?

The site is reset every 24 hours at around 9am GMT. Please don’t add content to the site that you aren’t willing to lose. Please also be careful not to add any real user data as you will be sharing it with the world and will be liable for any privacy breaches.

I’m a Totara Partner. Can I use the Demo Site to demo Totara Learn to my prospects?

You can, although we’d advise against it. The Demo Site has some restrictions, and you can’t guarantee other users won’t also be using (and making changes to) the site during your demo/presentation. Much better to set up your own instance for this purpose. You can, of course, point those interested in getting an initial hands-on feel for the platform to the Demo site, but do not rely on it entirely.

I’ve visited the site and I want to know more. Where do I go?
